■ With projecting lamps mounted on brackets
■ With rain protection roof of the side windows
■ Frost protection covers of the ventilation grilles – can be mounted open and closed
■ Long front hood made of die cast metal, therefore more dead weight and high tractive power
■ Rich detailing on the model with many separately applied plug-in parts
■ The headlights can be completely or partially switched off with a DIP switch
■ Fully equipped printed circuit board and driver’s cab lighting installed ex works
■ Complete lighting functions in digital mode (maneuvering lights, individually switchable headlights or taillights, low beams, cab lighting)

From 1955, the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the GDR developed the diesel-hydraulic locomotive V 60 for medium-heavy shunting service. These machines were primarily intended to put an end to the inefficient use of steam locomotives in shunting service. From 1962 to 1964, the company LKM Babelsberg delivered with 163 locomotives the first series to the DR. During the construction of the first main series, even a rain protection roof was installed on top of the side windows. As a result of new service regulations, the DR shunting locomotives were in the course of revisions gradually painted with an orange-yellow colour.
