Additional 1st & two 2nd class cars BR 412 ICE 4, Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG).  Epoch VI

3 piece add-on cars for the PIKO ICE 4 of the DB AG Ep. VI. In 2011, Deutsche Bahn AG commissioned Siemens Mobility to build up to 300 new high-speed trains for use in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The new class 412/812 multiple units, which are being jointly developed by Siemens and Bombardier, are powered by several cars, so-called powercars. The train configuration provides for various modular units from five-part to 14-part trains. With this concept, the train can easily be adapted to the individual requirements of the transport company for the desired acceleration, speed and number of seats. So far, the DB has ordered 85 twelve- and 45 seven-part multiple units as a basic configuration, consisting of non-powered end and control cars, The seven-part multiple unit has three powered cars and offers 456 seats over a length of 200 meters. A twelve-part multiple unit has six powered cars and 830 seats over a length of 346 meters. The top speed is 250 km / h. The external shape was based on the existing ICE fleet and developed further. Since December 2017, the first trains have been in regular service on the Hamburg – Würzburg, Stuttgart – Munich and Hamburg – Berlin – Munich lines.
