The PIKO model of the 181 213 “Saar” shows all relevant details of its prototype and impresses with the finest paintwork and printing, raised nameplates on the sides, extra front handles and door handle bars, sharply engraved bogie covers, fine insulators and pantographs with different contact strips. The lighting is done by LEDs. The standard built-in driver’s cab and engine room lighting, like the taillights that function depending on the direction of travel, can be digitally switched with a PluX22 decoder. A powerful five-pole motor with two precisely balanced centrifugal masses, which drives all four axes, ensures excellent driving characteristics. The heavy PIKO model has two traction tires and a heavy zinc die-cast frame for high pulling forces. The PIKO 181. 2 is prepared for uncomplicated retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker. Optional attachable brake hose dummies are included with the model.  The signs with the designation SAAR are included with the model as separate accessories and must be attached accordingly
