LokPilot 5 micro DCC, 8-pin NEM652, gauge N, TT
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC is the “twin” of the LokPilot 5 micro. With just 8.0mm x 7.0mm and a thickness of only 2.4mm (on the capacitor: 2.9mm), just so small that it can also be accommodated in very small locomotives of nominal sizes Z, N or TT, it is a pure DCC Decoder. This lack of flexibility is rewarded with a lower price.

I use this in N scale for paired consists with a Loksound equipped engine. You really only need one prime mover, it’s noisy enough. And of course, one horn, one bell, etc. It has all the motor and light controls of a sound decoder, so Drive Hold and Brake 1, 2,3 can be emulated with the sound engine. You can also have switching mode, load control, virtual prime mover, light dimmer and other logical functions. Haven’t figured out dynamic brake though, doesn’t seem to be on the list of functions, You can set up say Brake 3 to be the dynamic brake but the sound engine goes through a sequence before actually slowing down so I’m not sure if this is possible.
