New for 2022: Variant of the Rh 1044 in the version as Rh 1144.2 of the ÖBB in Era VI. With the newly designed PIKO 1044/1144, for the first time there will also be authentic models of the high serial numbers of this series in 1:87. The characterful locomotive face of the former ÖBB showpiece was excellently captured in the model implementation, as was the striking side section of the vehicles, which, with the pronounced beads and the typical “portholes”, posed quite a challenge for mold construction. The resulting impression of an ideal visual effect is continued in the bogies of the locomotive. Last but not least, the new 1144 knows how to impress technically: A five-pole PIKO motor with two finely balanced centrifugal masses on its shaft ensures even propulsion. Model railroaders who prefer digital operation
