Modelling the E 94 perfectly in HO scale is always a challenge. The PIKO designers managed this feat with flying colours. The result is a model that perfectly reproduces the overall appearance and characteristics of the E 94 in 1:87. Thanks to a dovetail guide between the engine stems and the bridge frame, the model sits firmly on the track and is very agile at the same time. The central motor with two flywheel masses ensures smooth running, the traction is increased by two diagonally arranged traction tires. In conjunction with a digital decoder, many prototypical light functions can be switched, among which the start-up lights below the driver’s cab window are particularly important. The sound variant has a PSD XP 5 ex works. 1 S sound decoder of the latest generation. As a further highlight, the BR E 94 has PIKO TrainSound® onboard.
